Sync SAP Cloud ALM tasks with Jira issues, bidirectionally

C³B keeps SAP Cloud ALM tasks and Jira issues in sync bidirectionally, including owner and status, with deep links into the Cloud ALM project.

One task list, not two.

The problem: the project runs on Cloud ALM, the work runs on Jira

You steer your SAP implementation project through SAP Cloud ALM, but your delivery teams plan and work in Jira. So every task exists twice, and keeping the two copies aligned is somebody's weekly job.

Assignments drift first. Cloud ALM knows an owner, Jira knows a different one, and the handover falls between them. Status follows soon after, and by then the project report has to be assembled by hand because neither system alone is trustworthy.

Our answer: SAP Cloud ALM tasks in Jira

C³B extends Jira with the tasks from the Implementation area of SAP Cloud ALM. SAP models everything there as a task type — project tasks, defect tasks and the rest — and C³B works with all of them, not just project tasks.

C³B creates tasks in both directions and keeps them current. Your delivery teams work in Jira while SAP Cloud ALM stays the system of record for project progress.

Alongside fields and status, C³B reconciles ownership. Cloud ALM identifies people by email address, Jira by account ID. A per-profile user catalogue bridges that, and you switch it on or off per direction and per operation. A deep link takes the user from the Jira issue straight into the matching Cloud ALM project.

What you get out of it

SAP Cloud ALM is SaaS. There is no ABAP add-on to install and no SAP backend to run. C³B installs as a Forge app on Jira Cloud, without a maintenance window.

Starting in three steps

Talk it through

We look at which Cloud ALM task types your project uses and which Jira projects they belong in.

Run a pilot

Start on the free 30-day licence with technical support, on one project and one issue type.

Review the result

We go through what the pilot delivered and decide together whether it earns a rollout.

C³B is one of three connectors. The other two, and how they fit together, are covered on C³ Cross Connectors for SAP Cloud ALM. Our profile on the Atlassian Marketplace has the product detail: Cross ALM on the Atlassian Marketplace.
