Sync SAP Cloud ALM features with Jira issues, bidirectionally

C³F keeps SAP Cloud ALM features and Jira issues in sync bidirectionally. Scope, lifecycle and deployment status stay visible on both sides.

Scope agreed in Cloud ALM, delivered in Jira, visible in both.

The problem: the release scope and the delivery live apart

You keep the scope of your SAP releases as features in SAP Cloud ALM, and your delivery teams implement that scope in Jira. Neither side knows what the other calls the same piece of work.

The feature lifecycle then gets retyped, the deployment status never reaches Jira, and the business and delivery end up describing the same release differently. The worst version of this is shipping something that was never signed off.

Feature and issue do not know each other

Deployment status missing in Jira

Lifecycle retyped by hand

Releases slip on unclear scope

Our answer: SAP Cloud ALM features in Jira

C³F extends Jira with the features from the Implementation area of SAP Cloud ALM. It creates, updates and closes features and Jira issues in both directions, while SAP Cloud ALM stays the system of record for scope, lifecycle and deployment status.

C³F writes the Jira issue URL onto the feature, so your Cloud ALM users reach the issue in one click. In the other direction an issue panel shows the synchronisation state and an activity tab holds the log.

The status path is modelled from specification through to confirmed delivery. Ready for Production stays where it belongs: only your Cloud ALM users can set it.

What you get out of it

SAP Cloud ALM is SaaS. There is no ABAP add-on to install and no SAP backend to run. C³F installs as a Forge app on Jira Cloud, without a maintenance window.
