Work SAP Cloud ALM alerts as Jira issues

C³O turns SAP Cloud ALM job, health and exception alerts into Jira issues and reports closure back. Forge app, no ABAP add-on, 30-day proof of concept.

An alert that nobody transcribes is an alert that gets worked on sooner.

The problem: your alerts sit in Cloud ALM, your operations run on Jira

You monitor your SAP systems with SAP Cloud ALM, but your operations team works tickets in Jira. Between the two sits a person who reads the alert in one place and types it into the other.

That person is also the reason nothing is reliably owned. There is no rule that says which alert type goes to which team, so routing depends on who happens to be looking.

Every ticket raised by hand

No owner per alert type

Event details lost in transit

Status maintained on both sides

Our answer: SAP Cloud ALM alerts as Jira issues

C³O extends Jira with the Operations area of SAP Cloud ALM. It receives alerts from job, health and exception monitoring at a secured web trigger and turns each one into a Jira issue in the configured project, then keeps it up to date and closes it.

Which field goes where is yours to define, per profile and separately for create, update and close. Nested fields, prefixes and suffixes, HTML-to-Markdown conversion and event detail tables are all part of that mapping.

When your team moves the issue into a status you configured as final, C³O reports the closure back to SAP Cloud ALM. Loop protection recognises the connector's own changes and does not send them a second time.

What you get out of it

SAP Cloud ALM is SaaS. There is no ABAP add-on to install and no SAP backend to run. C³O installs as a Forge app on Jira Cloud, without a maintenance window.

Starting in three steps

Talk it through

We look at which monitoring areas you run in Cloud ALM and which Jira projects the alerts belong in.

Run a pilot

Start on the free 30-day licence with technical support, on one alert type and one project.

Review the result

We go through what the pilot delivered and decide together whether it earns a rollout.

C³O is one of three connectors. The other two, and how they fit together, are covered on C³ Cross Connectors for SAP Cloud ALM. Our profile on the Atlassian Marketplace has the product detail: Cross ALM on the Atlassian Marketplace.
